ABOUT US

Hella Shriners

Hella Shriners, established in 1888, is a part of Shriners International, a fraternity with 196 chapters and a membership of 309,000 Shriners.  They gather in temples, or chapters, throughout the United States, Canada, Germany, Mexico, The Philippines, Puerto Rico, Brazil and the Republic of Panama.  Hella is based in Garland, Texas and represents 2600 Shriners who live throughout Northeast Texas including the Dallas metroplex.  It’s geographical area extends north to the Oklahoma border and East to the Louisiana border.  All Hella Shriners are Masons first.

When a group of Masons established Shriners International in 1872, the goal was to build an organization focused on fun and fellowship that was also rooted in the values and principles of the Masonic fraternity.  More than 140 years later, Shriners International remains the premier organization for men of good character whose efforts foster a spirt of camaraderie and brotherhood.  While members enjoy the fraternity’s brotherhood, fellowship and fun, they are also dedicated to supporting the philanthropy, Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Shriners have been producing circuses throughout North America for over 100 years, and the Hella Shrine Circus in 2018 will mark the 50th consecutive year that Hella has produced a circus in the Dallas area.  The principle objective of the Hella Shrine Circus is to provide an affordable, first class circus for the entire family featuring a large variety of typical circus acts while at the same time providing a source of income to support the operation of  the Hella Shriners Chapter.  All proceeds are for the benefit of Hella Shriners.  All payments are not deductible as charitable contributions.
